Little Books

This book series presents a set of small, handy volumes on various topics written for the lay reader. The project was to present a modular model; a design that would be recognizable and cohesive, but flexible enougth to accomodate future books in the series. To further establish brand recognition, we also developed a Little Books logo-type that is “stamped” onto the back cover of all books in the series.

La Colombe

The site for this gourmet Philadelphia-based coffee roasting company was created while working at AC/AC. Features an antiquated (but quaint) all-flash design, shopping cart/E-commerce system, full credit-card processing capability. Remarkably, the site has only needed an hour or two of maintenance since its launch nearly 5 years ago.

The Hundred Greatest Stars

The author of this book is a prominent astronomer, and the concept was to base a book around his very favorite one hundred stars. The square number 100 was used not only as the basis for the square format of the book, but as a device for designing the cover and interior. A grid of one hundred dots adorns the dust jacket, and on the back a corresponding grid of numbers. The casing has images of the one hundred stars, along with their corresponding names on the back. Combined, they offer an index of content for the book.
